Acne is personal. Your support should be too.

Your skin deserves more than another generic plan.

Acne can affect people of any age and may influence confidence, comfort and everyday life. When breakouts persist despite changing products or trying restrictive diets, a broader and more individual assessment can help you make sense of the possible contributing factors.

This service may suit you if you are experiencing:

  • Persistent or recurring breakouts
  • Adult, teenage or hormonal-pattern acne
  • Acne alongside digestive or hormonal symptoms
  • Confusion about food triggers or supplements
  • Frustration after trying multiple approaches

A wider view of skin health

Looking beyond the surface.

There is rarely one universal explanation for acne. Your assessment considers the patterns that are relevant to you and helps identify practical priorities.

Nutrition

Your usual eating pattern, meal balance, possible dietary triggers and whether you are getting the nutrients that support general skin health.

Gut health

Digestive symptoms and the possible relationship between your gut, immune system, inflammation and skin are considered in context.

Hormonal patterns

Where relevant, we explore patterns around cycles, stress and other symptoms, and identify when medical testing or referral may be appropriate.

Lifestyle

Sleep, stress, movement, skincare habits and the realities of your routine are included so recommendations remain achievable.

Nutrient status

Your history and assessment may highlight areas to investigate. Supplement advice is personalised and never based on guesswork.

Your whole health

You are treated as a person, not a skin type. Your goals, health history, medication and preferences shape every recommendation.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you begin.

Can nutritional therapy cure acne?

No responsible practitioner can promise a cure. Nutritional therapy can help you explore diet, lifestyle and other possible contributing factors and build a personalised plan. It complements—not replaces—medical diagnosis and treatment.

Is this service only for hormonal acne or adult women?

No. Beth supports people with acne across different ages, sexes and acne patterns. For clients under 18, appropriate parent or guardian involvement will be discussed.

Do I need to stop my medication or skincare?

No. Do not stop or change prescribed medication without speaking to the clinician responsible for your care. Your existing treatment and skincare can be considered as part of the wider picture.

Will I need functional testing?

The programme includes one functional test. The most appropriate option—such as a hormone, gut or nutrient-related test—is determined following your initial assessment. Testing is used only when it is relevant to your situation.

How quickly will I see a difference?

Everyone responds differently, so results and timescales cannot be guaranteed. The three-month format provides time to implement recommendations, monitor patterns and refine the plan with ongoing support.

Can I work with Beth outside the UK?

Yes. Consultations are delivered online and are available internationally, subject to suitability and any applicable professional restrictions.
