Is this familiar?

Could this support be right for you?

You do not need a “perfect” diet before asking for help. We start with what you are experiencing now.

01

Bloating and trapped wind

Your abdomen feels uncomfortable or noticeably distended, often after eating or later in the day.

02

Changing bowel habits

Constipation, diarrhoea, urgency or a feeling that your bowel has not completely emptied.

03

Food fear or confusion

Your list of “safe” foods keeps shrinking, or conflicting online advice has left you unsure what to eat.

04

Symptoms that return

You felt better for a while after treatment or dietary changes, but the same digestive pattern has returned.

05

A wider health picture

Fatigue, low energy or disrupted routines are making digestive symptoms harder to manage day to day.

06

Support alongside treatment

You want practical nutrition guidance while remaining under the care of your doctor or specialist.

The bigger picture

More than a list of foods to avoid

A useful plan should help you understand patterns, protect nutritional adequacy and build confidence around food.

Beth takes a detailed history and works within her nutritional-therapy scope, referring you back to your medical team whenever symptoms or testing require clinical assessment.

Symptoms and meals

When symptoms happen, what you eat and whether timing or portion size appears relevant.

Food variety

How to maintain a nourishing, realistic diet and avoid unnecessary long-term exclusions.

Bowel regularity

Your usual pattern, constipation or diarrhoea and factors that may affect digestive transit.

Stress and routine

Sleep, meal pace, movement and stress can all shape how manageable symptoms feel.

Medical history

Existing diagnoses, medicines, previous antibiotics and investigations are considered carefully.

Nutrient intake

Repeated restriction can make it difficult to meet your needs, so adequacy stays central to the plan.

How it works

A clear, supported process

Your recommendations evolve with your symptoms, tolerance and medical care.

1

Understand

We review your health history, investigations, medication, symptoms, eating pattern and priorities.

2

Personalise

You receive practical nutrition and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your needs—not a generic SIBO diet.

3

Review and adapt

Follow-ups help us monitor patterns, adjust your plan and support gradual food variety where appropriate.

Ongoing support

Complete Gut Repair: 3-Month Programme

Designed for people living with persistent bloating, digestive discomfort, food sensitivities, IBS-type symptoms or SIBO symptoms.

Over three months, Beth helps you understand your individual patterns and put practical changes into place. The programme supports digestive health; it does not replace diagnosis or treatment from a doctor.

“Although it has not fully gone, the symptoms I suffer are nowhere near as bad, and now I am aware what food I can eat and what foods upset me.”

Common questions

SIBO nutritional therapy FAQs

Can nutritional therapy cure SIBO?

No responsible practitioner can promise a cure. SIBO is a medical condition that requires appropriate assessment and, when indicated, treatment from a GP or gastroenterology professional. Nutritional therapy can provide personalised support with food choices, dietary adequacy, routines and symptom patterns alongside that care.

Do I need a SIBO diagnosis before working with Beth?

You can ask about support while symptoms are being investigated, but Beth does not diagnose SIBO. Bloating, abdominal discomfort and changing bowel habits can have many causes, so persistent or unexplained symptoms should be discussed with your GP.

Should I have a SIBO breath test?

Hydrogen and methane breath tests may be used in SIBO assessment, but their preparation and interpretation can be complex and limitations exist. Discuss whether testing is appropriate with your GP or gastroenterologist. The general gut-health test included in Beth’s programme does not diagnose SIBO.

Will I have to follow a low-FODMAP diet?

Not automatically. Restrictive diets are not suitable for everyone and should not become a permanent list of forbidden foods. If a short-term modification is appropriate, the goal is to protect nutritional intake and support a structured return to greater variety whenever possible.

Can Beth advise on antibiotics or herbal antimicrobials?

Beth will take your medicines and supplements into account, but she will not tell you to stop prescribed treatment. Antibiotics and other medical treatment should be managed by the prescribing clinician. Supplements are considered individually for safety, suitability and possible interactions.

Why can symptoms return after treatment?

There is no single explanation for every person. Your medical team may need to consider underlying conditions or factors affecting digestive function. Nutritional support focuses on your own pattern and on realistic habits that can be maintained alongside clinical care.

Are consultations available online?

Yes. Beth works remotely with clients across the UK, making follow-up support accessible wherever you live.

When to seek medical help

Contact your GP about persistent or recurring bloating and digestive symptoms. Seek prompt medical advice if symptoms are accompanied by unexplained weight loss, blood in your stool, vomiting, fever, a lump or swelling, or worsening pain. Sudden severe abdominal pain or vomiting blood requires urgent help.
